What do you do if your kid is a Brat?

You know the little bratty girl in Willy Wonka, well I have one that would go down the bad egg shoot right about now! I am so incredibly frustrated. It's the first day of summer vacation and already the fighting has begun. I am at my wits end with this child. I went to Goody's to buy something for church tomorrow, and when Jadelyn realized I wasn't going to buy her everything in the store, she had a royal fit. She got in the corner of a dressing room and refused to come out! I had to pick her up, kicking and screaming, and carry her to the car! Everyone was looking at me like I should be able to do something, and maybe I should, but What? Anyone with advice please help because this has gone beyond our normal chaos!

Hut life is the life for me...Maybe?

I do LOVE air conditioning, but as I sit here today I find myself dreaming of living in the woods. I'm thinking about the freedom from modern problems like bills, traffic, check-out lines, and cell phones. I can imagine myself living in a hut just rambling on and on to all the critters. What would I eat? I'm not willing to kill anything, so that may be cause to re-evaluate my plan. Eating aside, I still have grown quite fascinated with the whole hut idea. What about my overwhelming fear of mice and snakes? Well, snakes eat mice but that only takes care of one. Hmmm... I guess I have some kinks to work out. Until then I'll just sit here in the air conditioning!

Madelyn's Graduation

Maddy graduated from preschool tonight. Because her birthday fell past cut-off she has had 3 years of it. She is ready for kindergarten and excited about going to the same school as her sister. She sang songs and did sign language. The graduation included Batesville, Desha, and Sulphur Rock. Her class was last up. Here is a picture of what she looked like waiting impatiently for her turn.

Slip N Slided

Our yard slopes downhill which stinks for swings and pools, but is perfect for a Slip N Slide. We got this awesome one at Target, and the whole family had to try it out. You can race 3 people on it. We had a blast!

Packages Excite Me!

I was just hanging around the house when ,to my amazement, a package arrived for ME! I am like a kid when it comes to getting mail. A huge green box with my name on it. I had to fight the kids and my husband to get to open it myself, but inside I found a dozen beautiful roses and vase. Inside a card that made my eyes water. My friend Randi had sent me flowers to congratulate me on my recent acceptance to Lyon. I am so thrilled! I just LOVE packages! I could never thank you enough Randi!

If I'm Lyon I'm dying!

So I got the news Friday that I had gotten into Lyon college. Saturday I received a packet in the mail from them. I thought "cool" , this should be some fun info. Nope, already a fee I have to come up with. No small fee at that. I have to have $200 just to keep my spot and say that I am going to attend. Now , if this is a sign of what is to come, I'm screwed!

Bobby Hill Short Pants

This is a picture of my husband and I on our last camping adventure to Mt. Nebo. Don't be fooled, it may look warm in this picture but it is around 50 degrees. Now I HATE to be hot, so when the first warm day hits I make the permanent switch to flip-flops and and what my loving husband refers to as "Bobby Hill Short Pants." See, I'm a big girl as you can see, and I just wouldn't look right in booty shorts, but as with all my other quirks, I have become fascinated with the "short pants". I search far and wide for these things. I just can't help myself, I Love ugly shoes, bouncey balls, fairies, butterflies, odd cat names, things that glow in the dark, and now short pants!

This One's For You Randi!

It's been a long strange trip, my friends. I never knew life could be so fun! My little family is my whole world and consists of : My husband Tony, Daughters Jadelyn Rose and Madelyn Taige, and our kitty cats, Itchy Kitty Doo, Miss Priss and our newest kitten, Spunky Co Medina! Yeah, I never once said we were your average family. You can tell by our cat's names, this family thinks outside of the box. We live most days in total chaos, that's why I have great friends like Randi to keep me in check. If it wasn't for her : My oldest daughter would be named TonyAnn Cunningham, I would have never put on a dress(Lord Forbid!) and went to my high school prom, I would always spell "the" T-H-Uh, and I would wear shiny silver moon boots everyday!
